The christening in 1813 of Elizabeth Susan Brent at St Andrew, Holborn recorded her parents as John and Eliza and her father as a silversmith from Kirby Street.
William Thomas Knott signed indentures in 1820 to be his apprentice at Domingo Street, Old Street.
He was a widower and silversmith aged 65 years living with his daughter Eliza at Upper Ground Street, Christ Church, Southwark at the time of the 1841 UK Census.
The death of a John Brent recorded at St Saviour, Southwark in 1845 may be relevant.
