BRADLEY, Joseph (Grimwade p.447)

Post by MCB »

William, the son of John Glenn, pawnbroker of Cox’s Square, Spitalfields, signed indentures in 1783 to be his apprentice at Red Lion Passage.
The christening records of four children of Joseph and Mary Bradley of Red Lion Passage in 1788-1795, including their son John William in 1788, were recorded at St George the Martyr, Queens Square.
He was listed in the Land Tax assessment books at Red Lion Passage from 1780-94.
His son Joseph William was made free by patrimony in 1811.
The burial in 1823 of a Joseph Bradley aged 73, late of Acton, recorded at St Mary, Acton is probably relevant as Goldsmiths Alms Houses were situated there.
