Charles Adam (Grimwade p.419) from York signed indentures in 1682 to be his apprentice.
He is listed in the Land Tax assessment books from 1692-1705 in respect of unidentified property in St Leonard parish and in the 1710 London Poll Book as a goldsmith.
The London Poll Book for 1727 listed him as a pensioner in the Goldsmiths Company.
The Francis Archbold noted by Grimwade as appearing in the 1773 Parliamentary Report may well have been the son of Andrew Archbold (Grimwade p.425). He had been made free by patrimony in the Goldsmiths Company in 1751.

Re: ARCHBOLD, Francis (Grimwade p.425)
There is a liberty of the city patrimony letter for Francis son of Andrew that gives 1751 as the year of his admission into the company of goldsmiths.
