Non-Conformist records show Sarah Jenkins Teed, the daughter of Richard and Sarah Teed, was born in 1786 in Off Alley, Strand and four other daughters were born in Lancaster Court, Strand between 1797 and 1806.
He paid for entries in trade directories in 1785 and 1790 as a jeweller from Off Alley.
Richard Teed entered a mark at Goldsmiths Hall in 1801 as a gold worker from 3 Lancaster Court and had been assessed for Land Tax from this address from 1797 until 1816.
Non-Conformist records also show that Richard was buried in Bunhill Fields in 1816 and a Sarah Teed buried there in 1833.
An interesting development occurred in 1834 when four of the daughters returned to St Martin in the Fields to be (re-)baptised.

The Will of Richard Teed, jeweller late of Strand, was proved for probate on 31st December 1816 (National Archives reference PROB 11/1587/330).
