Goldworkers List (Section VII).

He paid Duty as a jeweller from Aldgate for the apprentice indentures of Jacob Turner in 1775 and of Humphrey Marks in 1776.
He was assessed for Land Tax in 1776 on property in Lime Street and on property in the Langbourn Division in 1777-8; the latter records do not show the property address.
Land Tax records in 1781 and the London Poll Book for 1784 recorded him as a jeweller at Walker’s Court, St James, Westminster parish.
Further Duty was paid in 1785 as a jeweller from Goodman’s Fields for the apprentice indentures of Thomas James Woods.
Further Duty was paid in 1795 as a jeweller from Exeter Street, Covent Garden for the apprentice indentures of Hyman Hart. He was assessed for Land Tax at that address until 1804.
He entered a mark at Goldsmiths Hall in 1809 as a gold worker from 2 Wood Street, Spitalfields and was assessed for Land Tax there until 1811.
He died there in August 1811. The terms of his Will provided for his wife Leah Ozeley (Grimwade p.374).
