He was born around 1791 in Bank Side, Southwark.
As William Turner Clark he married Elizabeth Robinson at St Luke, Finsbury in 1812; both were from that parish.
He entered a mark at Goldsmiths Hall in 1823 as a gold worker from Camberwell.
Christening records of two of their children at St Giles, Camberwell in 1823 and 1825 show their father as a silversmith or goldsmith from Lambeth and another at the same church in 1829 as a silversmith from Camberwell.
The christening record of a daughter at St Mark, Kennington in 1838 shows her father as a jeweller from South Island Place.
He was at Church Road, Brixton as a jeweller in 1841 and at 5 Hope Cottages, Clapham as a jeweller and watch maker in 1851.
His burial aged 62 years in 1853, late of Wandsworth Road, was recorded at Holy Trinity, Clapham.
