Goldworkers List (Section VII).

He was christened William Peter at St Marylebone in 1763, the son of Gideon (Grimwade p.361) and Ann.
He married Ann Ward at St Paul, Shadwell in 1783; both were from that parish.
He is listed in the London Poll book for 1790 as a jeweller from Newport Street and entered a mark at Goldsmiths Hall in 1791 as a gold worker from 3 Great Newport Street, Soho.
He is listed in the 1796 Poll Book as a jeweller from King Street and paid Duty in the same year for the apprentice indentures of Benjamin Jenkins as a jeweller from Soho.
He was assessed to Land Tax on property in Union Row, Chelsea from 1803-1808.
His burial in 1829 aged 66 years, late of Union Street, Newington Causeway, was recorded at St George the Martyr, Southwark.
