Post by MCB »

Goldworkers List (Section VII).

He was christened the son of George, a shoemaker, and his wife Hannah at St John, Wapping in 1778.
His marriage to Ann Parsey was conducted at St Mary, Newington in 1802; both were from that parish.
There were christenings of their children at St Gregory and St Paul in 1806 and at St Luke Finsbury in 1809 and 1811. None of the records show any further detail.
Their daughter Anne Riner was christened at St Giles Cripplegate in 1819 when her father was a jeweller at Golden Square.
He entered a mark at Goldsmiths Hall in 1824 as a gold worker from 4 St Martin’s Churchyard.
The 1841 UK Census for New Compton Street, Soho recorded him continuing as a jeweller.
His death was registered at St Pancras in 1849.
