VARVELL, Charles (Grimwade p.357)

Post by MCB »

Goldworkers List (Section VII).

He was christened the son of John and Sarah at St Paul, Covent Garden in 1798.
Land Tax assessment records show he lived at 3 Meard’s Street, Soho from 1820.
He married Charlotte Freeman at St Anne, Soho in 1821; both were from that parish.
He entered a maker’s mark at Goldsmiths Hall in 1825 as a gold worker from 3 Stewards Street although this may have been an error and should have read Meard’s Street as his burial in 1827 aged 30 years, late of that address, was recorded at St Anne’s.
