Goldworkers List (Section VII).
He was christened Henri Collingwood Aumonier in 1799 at the French Huguenot Church in Spitalfields, the son of Jean and Marie Aumonier.
He married Nancy Frances Stacy at St Dunstan in the West in 1827.
Christening records for their nine children were all recorded at St Dunstan’s and showed their father as a jeweller at the following addresses: King Street, Soho in 1828 from where he had entered a mark at Goldsmiths Hall as a gold worker in the same year, 41 Frith Street, Soho in 1829, 4 Upper Southampton Street, Camberwell in1832, Ashby Street, St John Street Road, Clerkenwell in 1834 and 1835, High Street, Highgate in 1837, back to 41 Frith Street, Soho in 1839 and at Hadley, Middlesex in 1846.
The 1841 UK Census shows them still living at High Street, Highgate.
His death was registered in Barnet in 1848.
He may have changed trade after 1846 as the 1851 UK Census entry for Nancy Frances shows her as the widow of a draper living in Willesden with her brother William Stacy, a diamond jeweller.
