Goldworkers List (Section VII)
His marriage contract and burial record suggests he was born around 1736.
No evidence of an apprenticeship or freedom has been found.
He was 25 years old in 1761 and a Silversmith when he contracted to marry Ann Boyveau at St Martin in the Fields. She was 24 and they were both from St Martin’s parish.
He paid Duty as a goldsmith of Cockspur Street in 1766 for the apprentice indentures of William Cazal.
He entered a maker’s mark at Goldsmiths Hall in 1773 as a gold worker from Cockspur Street, Charing Cross.
Trade Directory entries show him as a silversmith, goldsmith and jeweller from that address from 1774-90.
His burial in 1820 aged 83 years, late of St Marylebone parish, was recorded at that church
