He signed indentures in 1781 as the son of John Clarke, watch case maker late of Primrose Street, to be the apprentice of James Clarke (possibly Grimwade p.466) of the Clockmakers Company.
He entered his first mark at Goldsmiths Hall in 1787 as a watch case maker and notified changes of address to 126 Bunhill Row in 1789, 67 Wheeler Street, Smithfield in 1790, 15 Ratcliffe Row, City Road in 1796 and 4 Ship Court in 1800 and 1805.
Indentures were signed in 1822 by John, son of John Jaggars, victualler of Portman Street, to be the apprentice of Richard Clarke of the Clockmakers Company and watch case maker of St Martin le Grande.
No further information has been found for him.
