ATKINS, Samuel (Grimwade p.317, 347)

He was christened at St Luke Finsbury in 1776, the son of the horse dealer Thomas Atkins and his wife Anne.
He signed indentures in 1792 to be the apprentice of Bartholomewno Need (Grimwade p.289, 333) of the Goldsmiths Company and watch case maker of Sutton Street, Clerkenwell.
He entered marks at Goldsmiths Hall from 1801-1807 as a case maker from 14 Bridgwater Square.
Indentures were signed in 1809 by Henry, son of Joseph Catherwood, watch maker of Bunhill Row and by Thomas, son of Thomas Griffin, innholder of Birmingham, to be his apprentices.
No further information has been found for him.
