WILLIAMSON, Henry (Grimwade p.338)

Post by MCB »

Henry Brown Williamson was born in Clerkenwell around 1808.
He married Charlotte Cox at St Pancras parish church in 1833; both were from that parish.
Christening records for their three children at St James, Clerkenwell from 1834-38 show their father as a watch maker from Lower Smith Street although the mark entered at Goldsmiths Hall in 1837 was as a watch maker from 22 Percival Street.
The 1841 and 1851 UK Census records show him at 9 Frederick Place, Islington continuing in the same trade.
His death was registered in Islington in 1858.
The National Probate Calendar for 1858 shows the Will of Henry Brown Williamson, late of Frederick Place and formerly of Lower Smith Street, was proved for probate at the Principal Registry. The value of the estate was originally under £1000 but revised in 1878 to under £3000.
