SKINNER, Robert (Grimwade p.347)

Post by MCB »

He was christened at St Paul, Covent Garden in 1768, the son of Kavenhuller Skinner and his wife Mary.
Indentures were signed in 1783 by Robert Skinner, son of Kavenhuller who was by then an engraver in Canterbury, to be the apprentice of Edward Leeming (Grimwade p.335) of the Clockmakers Company.
He entered a mark at Goldsmiths Hall in 1795 as a watch case maker from 3 White Street, Little Moorfields and reported he was still there in 1796.
After that no further trace of him has been found.
