MANSIR, Robert (Grimwade p.316, 346)

Post by MCB »

He was christened the son of John and Elizabeth Mansir at St Luke, Finsbury in 1795.
Page 209 of Watchmakers and Clockmakers of the World notes he was an apprentice from 1808 but no indentures have been found for him.
He entered maker’s marks at Goldsmiths Hall in 1821 as a case maker from 5 St James’ Place, Clerkenwell and in 1831 from 15, Lower Charles Street, Northampton Square.
His burial aged 40 years, late of St James, Clerkenwell, was recorded at St Luke’s in 1833.
