SMITH, Tudor (Grimwade p.323)

Post by MCB »

He was christened in 1692 at St Bride, Fleet Street, the son of Henry and Mary Smith.
He paid duties for the apprentice indentures of Richard son of John Bignell deceased in 1718 and Land Tax on property in St Anne Precinct in 1718-19 (the actual address is not recorded).
Page 295 of the book Watchmakers & Clockmakers of the World notes that he was made apprentice in 1708 and of the Clockmakers Company from 1717-1742.
