DEARMER, John II (Grimwade p.301)

Post by MCB »

He entered a maker’s mark at Goldsmiths Hall in 1782 as a case maker from 14 Featherstone Street, Bunhill Row.
Christening records at St Luke, Finsbury from 1781-88 for four children of John and Mary Dearmer show their father as a watch case maker.
No burial record for John Dearmer or any detail of his whereabouts have been found after 1793 when he is last seen assessed to Land Tax on the Featherstone Street property but the records for 1794-77 for this address have not been found.
Mary Dearmer (Grimwade p.313, 345) was assessed to Land Tax on the property from 1798 and she entered maker’s mark as a watch case or case maker from there in 1798 and 1800.
