BIRDWHISSELL, John (Grimwade p.309)

Post by MCB »

He was christened in 1696 at St Sepulchre, Holborn, the son of Thomas and Ann Birdwhistle.
A list of duties paid in 1719 for indentures includes the name of Paul or Saul, the apprentice and son of Paul Hanet (Grimwade p.532, 751), who was turned over to John Birdwhisle of the Longbowstringmakers Company in 1719.
The burial of a John Birdwhilse (sic), late of Hand Alley, recorded at St Andrew, Holborn in 1728 may be relevant.
