The Times newspaper edition of 17th September 1792 published a list of bankrupts which had appeared in the 15th September edition of the London Gazette. Among them was a call by Mr Hine, attorney of Charterhouse Street, to John Wall, silversmith of Wood Street, Cheapside, to surrender himself at the Guildhall.
He appears to have complied as the sale on 24-25th October 1792 of his extensive stock and lease on 24 Wood Street was announced in that newspaper on the 23rd.
