YERBURY, Daniel (Grimwade p.712, 772)

Post by MCB »

He was the son of Daniel and Elizabeth Yerbury and christened at St Thomas, Salisbury in 1692.
Unusually for a person having signed apprentice indentures for seven years in 1710 (marriage is forbidden within the terms) Daniel Yerbury married Susanna Sharpe at St Bride, Fleet Street 10 December 1713, the couple producing the six children identified by Grimwade as christened at All Hallows, Bread Street 1714-27.
He appears on Land Tax records regarding a property in Bread Street in 1714 and 1720 (Yerbury was a name recorded in Bread Street since at least the late 1600’s), All Hallows Upper Precinct from 1716-19, in Broad Street from 1721-27, in Aldgate in 1732-40.
He is also mentioned in the London ward of Bassishaw in 1729-38 but no address of the property is shown in these records.
