CRITCHFIELD, James (Grimwade p.339)

Post by MCB »

He married Mary Ann Stocker at St James, Clerkenwell in 1817; both were from that parish.
He entered a maker’s mark at Goldsmiths Hall in 1818 as a watch case maker from Rowston (Rawstorne?) Street, Islington Road.
Christening records at St James for their four children show their address variously as Rowston, Royston or Rawstorne Street and their father as a watch case maker.
The burial of a James Critchfield aged 46 years, late of St John’s Row, recorded at St Luke, Finsbury in 1837 may be relevant.
