Four children of Benjamin and Ann Norton were christened at St Giles without Cripplegate 1805-10. The records show no further detail.
The christening of their son Joseph at the same church in 1813 recorded their address as Coleman Street, St Luke parish and Benjamin as a watch case maker.
He entered a maker’s marks at Goldsmiths Hall in 1820 as a case maker from 59 Banner Street, St Luke parish and three more from the same address 1824-34 as a watch case maker. This had previously been the address of Jeremiah Jonas Mince (Grimwade p.291, 305).
He was still at the same address and in the same trade for the 1841 UK Census.
His burial aged 58 years was recorded at St John, Hoxton later in 1841.
