He entered a maker’s mark at Goldsmiths Hall in 1738 as a snuff box maker from Cockpit Court, Jewin Street.
The burial of John Wingler was recorded at St Andrew, Holborn in January 1741.
The Will of John Wingler, goldsmith of Cockpit Court, Jewin Street was granted probate in 1742. The Will dated in 1739 left one shilling to his daughter Urseley (sic) and the rest of his estate to his wife Mary.
