SHARRATT, Thomas (Grimwade p.655-6, 767)

Extracted from a memorandum dated 11th March 1748:
The Kings Majesties Court held before the Mayor and Aldermen at the Guildhall adjudged that Thomas Sharratt, son of Adam Sharratt deceased, late Vintner of St Dunstan in the West, bound apprentice to John Haygarth, Citizen and Founder by Indentures for seven years on 2nd September 1745 should not be discharged from his apprenticeship for that he was not enrolled according to the custom of London and he should be turned over to another freeman of the said City for the remainder….
Thomas Sharratt's maker’s mark of 1776 had been registered at Goldsmiths Hall from 17 Hoziers Lane, Smithfield.
The burial in 1785 of Thomas Sharratt aged about 57 years, late of Ozier (sic) Lane, was recorded at St Sepulchre, Holborn.

The Will of Thomas Sharratt, Founder late of St Sepulchre, was proved for probate on 17th June 1785 (National Archives reference PROB 11/1131/114).

5 May 1749 Thomas Sharratt by virtue of the within judgement turned over to John Jarratt (Grimwade p.560?) of the same trade for the remainder of his time.
