JACKSON, Thomas I (Grimwade p.559)

Post by buckler »

Luke Schrager, in a recent article in Silver Studies No 27 of 2011 on Elizabeth Jackson , nee Dickenson, later Oldfield indicates that Thomas Jackson I was her husband, not Charles Jackson as Grimwade suggests .

A review of the buckle collection of Mr J.Box at 187 Regent Street appeared in "The Queen, The Ladies NewsPaper" in 1896 on page 637.
Written with apparent knowledge by Ardern Holt, probably with the assistance of Mr Box , it gives Thomas Jackson of Noble Street as an early maker of shoe buckles. Whether this is correct is debateable.
