Although no marriage record for Hugh and Dorothy Mills has been found the following christening records in which they were named parents confirms Grimwade’s presumed partnership between them:
St Andrew, Holborn 1722 for Thomas, 1724 Ann, 1727 John, 1729 John again and 1732 Mary; all records show their address as Field Lane;
St Mary, Islington 1740 for Henry records no address;
St Andrew, Holborn 1742 for Joseph and 1745 for Benjamin record their address as Saffron Hill.

Re: MILLS, Hugh and Dorothy (Grimwade p.597)
Griwade's suggestion of his death around 1746 is perhaps undermined by the probate of the Will of Hugh Mills, Silversmith of Saint Andrew Holborn , Middlesex at PCC on 26 March 1752. Ref TNA/PROB 11/793/355.

Hello, I’m not entirely sure of everything surrounding this thread however I just purchased a salver that confirms that he was still creating in 1748.
