FIELD, Alexander (Grimwade p.508-9)

Indentures signed in 1790 for Hugh son of William Field, cordwainer of Grub Street to be the apprentice of Alexander Field, goldsmith of Hoxton.
Indentures were similarly signed in 1799 for Thomas Halford (Grimwade p.531) son of Thomas, haberdasher of City Road.
Indentures were signed in 1810 for Thomas Wm. son of Thomas Bolty, customs and excise officer of Jane Street, Commercial Road to be the apprentice of Alexander Field, silversmith of Haberdashers’ Row, Hoxton.
Duties were paid as a goldsmith of London for the Apprentice Indentures of Jno G Hardcastle in 1792, Robert Metham (Grimwade p.595) 1793, Jno. McManus 1795, Samuel Vincent 1796, Thomas Pipper 1796, George A Ainge 1799 and William Eaton (Grimwade p.499, 747) 1805.
His burial aged 76 years was recorded at St Leonard, Shoreditch in 1826; his last address was Garden Row.
