FLINT, William (Grimwade p.510)
Indentures were signed in 1761 for William son of William Flint deceased of Dunston in Northamptonshire to be the apprentice of George Fayle (Grimwade p.507), Citizen and Glover. George Fayle and William Flint each entered a maker’s mark at Goldsmiths Hall from Dogwell Court, Whitefriars.

He was assessed to Land Tax at Dogwell Court from 1769-1776.
The 1777 Land Tax records show the property assessment as “late Wm. Flint”.
Nicholas Flint (Grimwade p.407) who entered a mark at Goldsmiths Hall in 1776 as a hiltmaker from Clements Lane, Temple Bar may be connected.

22 October 1773, a letter with the heading to the Worshipful Sir Stephen Theod. Janssen Bar. Chamberlain of London signed by George Fayle contains an oath attesting to William Flints full and proper term of service. A note running down the leftside of the document says "free by this certificate the master being in trouble."
