Goldworkers List (Section VII).

He married Elizabeth Simmonds at St George, Bloomsbury in 1788.
There is a Trade Directory entry in his name in 1790 as an engraver and enamel painter at 9 Plumtree Street.
He paid Duties for the Apprentice Indentures of Geo. Bennett in 1791 as an engraver from St Giles in the Fields.
He entered a maker’s mark at Goldsmiths Hall in 1799 as a goldworker from the Plumtree Street address.
In 1808 as a jeweller and goldsmith still of 9 Plumtree Street he paid Duty for the Apprentice Indentures of Howell Newell.
The only Henry Chabaud mentioned in the 1841 UK Census was of independent means, 80 years old, born overseas and lodging with an innkeeper at Milton Place, Milton, Gravesend, Kent.
No death record has been traced for him.
