PRICE, William Archer (Grimwade p.385)

Goldworkers List (Section VII).

He was born in London around 1787.
He was christened at St Dunstan in the West on 9th April 1787; his parents were William and Charlotte of Fetter Lane.
He married Ann Elizabeth Hopkins at St John Zachary on 26th March 1811. The record shows he was from St Dunstan in the West parish.
He entered maker’s marks as a goldworker at Goldsmiths Hall in 1814, 1816 and 1822 from Maiden Lane, Wood Street, 1819-22 from Falcon Square and in 1844 is recorded as having moved to 122 London Wall.
1841 UK Census for 17 Maiden Lane records him as a goldsmith.
1851 UK Census for 122 London Wall records him as a coal merchant.
England & Wales Deaths Index for Shoreditch register shows he died in the 3rd quarter of 1854.

Indentures were signed in 1802 for William Archer Price, the son of Willam Price, optical instrument maker, Citizen and Stationer of Fetter Lane to be the apprentice of his father.
