Goldworkers List (Section VII).

Born around 1750.
Christening record for St Matthew, Bethnal Green register dated 30th January 1750. Father John a weaver and mother Isabella.
Apprentice Indenture Duties paid for Tobias Smith in july 1774 and Thomas Harrison in May 1778.
Died 1829.
London Deaths & Burials Index for St Leonard, Shoreditch register dated 28th April 1829. Aged 78 years; last address Goldsmiths' Almshouses.

He signed indentures in 1765 as the son of John Hookham, weaver of Christ Church parish, London to be the apprentice of Thomas Satchwell (Grimwade p.285, 382) of the Goldsmiths Company, a jeweller from Paternoster Row.
