In 1800 Joshua Vernon Cooper son of Joshua Hiram Cooper jeweller of Holborn was apprenticed to Richard Everingham grocer for seven years. Joshua Vernon grocer took on his son Thomas Smith Cooper as his apprentice in 1818, and another apprentice grocer Thomas Reeve in 1838.
