Christening record of a son Alfred at St James, Garlickhithe on 18th June 1815. Father recorded as a jeweller at Upper Thames Street.
1841 UK Census for Cloke Lane, Walbrook as a goldsmith aged 71 years. Also resident wife Hannah and son Alfred aged 26 years also a goldsmith.
1851 UK Census for 18 Critchill Place, Shoreditch as a jeweller. Son Alfred is also still resident and a wholesale jeweller.
Died 1856.

Pallot's Marriage Index for England: 1780 - 1837 records the marriage of Francis Caton and Hannah Ward at St Anne, Soho, 1794.
The 1851 London Post Office Directory lists Francis Caton at 18 Critchill Pl, Hoxton with the occupation spectacle maker.
