Born 1733.
He was christened at St Gregory by St Paul on 24th April 1733 the son of Basil and Sophia.

He paid duties as a Citizen and Goldsmith in 1760 for the Apprentice Indentures of Nathl. Bliss.
He married Honour Ashton at St Botolph, Aldersgate in 1765. She was from St James, Clerkenwell parish.

After his bankruptcy in 1768 he was recorded in Trade Directories 1789-90 as the owner of a crucible and melting pot warehouse, ironmonger, earthenware and glass dealer at 1 George Street, Foster Lane.

Honour’s burial aged 82 years was recorded at St Mary, Islington in 1819; her last address was Paradise Row.

Lewis himself died in 1821
