CHINNERY, WIlliam (Grimwade p.465)

Post by MCB »

Born 1781.
Christening record for St Botolph, Bishopsgate dated 23rd August 1781.
1841 UK Census for Wellington Street, Finsbury as a silversmith aged 60 years.
Possibly died 1846.
A burial record for St Pancras 1846 refers to a William Chinnery but the last address is unreadable for the entry to be positively linked.

There was a twenty year old Elizabeth Chinnery with William in the 1841 UK census, so although this will does not make certain that we have the correct gentleman, it does support the possibility that this is the "one."

1843 Richard Cook married Elizabeth Chinnery.

29 August 1846 William Chinnery of Acton Street Bagnigge Wells Road in the County of Middlesex Gentleman will proved. Richard Cook executor and majority of estate bequeathed to daughter Elizabeth. Reference: TNA PROB 11/2040/159.
