Re: CHEESE, Clement (Grimwade p.464)
The 1851 UK Census lists Agnes Chess (Cheese) as the wife of a revenue officer in Bermondsey. There is a three year old son named Clement Baille and a one year old daughter named Agnes Margaret in the same listing.
Re: CHEESE, Clement (Grimwade p.464)
Thanks for the information.
On the 1861 UK Census Clement B Cheese is resident as Clement's 13 year old son but there is no wife.
It seems that Clement was absent from the family home on the 1851 Census day but the connection with Agnes Chess (Cheese) does now show that Clement's silversmith activity had ended by 1851 at the latest.
