Indentures were signed in 1749 by Henry, son of James Billinghurst, schoolmaster from Essex to be the apprentice of Richard Payne, Citizen and Clockmaker.
He married Lucy Wilton at St Botolph, Aldersgate in 1758.
His son Henry James was christened at St Botolph in December 1760 and buried there in March 1761.
As a Citizen and Clockmaker he paid duties in 1770 for the apprentice indentures of Benjamin Eamonson (Grimwade p.333).
