St Martin's Settlement Exams: St Martin in the Fields ,Pauper Examinations, 1725-1793 - 23rd November 1754
"William Kellett aged 28 years .....his oath saith that he is a Silver Buckle Maker by trade and was bound an apprentice by an indenture for seven years bearing date the 27th Day of November 1738 to Humphrey Phillips a Silver Buckle Maker in Charles Court in the Strand in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid and there served about four years and three quarters and then went to Sea, and there served the remainder of the said time out which expired in the year 1745...."
