The Universal British Directory of 1791 gives an entry for London of Denham Tappenden & Co , Ironmongers of 19, Foster Lane
29th August 1774 Eliza Padmore entered mark as bucklemaker at 19, Frith Street.
From surving buckles by the Padmores their shoe buckles were smaller than normal, indicating perhaps a specialism for ladies and childes shoes.
