JUSTIS, Thomas (Grimwade p.566 and 755)

Post by buckler »

It would appear that Thomas Justis was active as a master in 1748 and thus may have had marks in the lost smallworkers register

5th October 1748 - John Gibson Leadbetter was apprenticed to Thomas Justis.
Leadbetter was free 3th December 1755 as working goldsmith, journeyman with Thomas Justis

6th September 1763- Carpenters' Company Minute Books of Courts and Committees records:-
Richard Lacy Son of Wm. Lacy of the Parish of St. George Com Glamorgan South Wales Clerk bound to Thomas Nash Citizen and Carpenter and afterwards turn'd over to Thomas Justis and now made Free on the Testimony of Thomas Nash and Thomas Justis

Other apprentices were Joseph Morley (also turned over from Thomas Nash) and John Lemay.

14th May 1766. The Proceedings of the Old Bailey Ref: t17660514-21
