Took Joseph Hastings as apprentice on 7th March 1770. Hastings later entered a mark in Southwark in 1784

Benjamin appears as victim in a case of theft by a journeyman on 15th Jul 1772 where he states "I am a silver-smith, in Jewin-street" The goods stolen were buttons with Benjamin’s mark and "shoe clasps". ( Proceedings of the Old Bailey Ref: t17720715-48)

His address is given as Jewin Street, but the number there is reported variously as No 4, No 14, or No 41 . He may have had two premises as the Sun Insurance details give him as holding two policies in 1777, one at No 4 and the other at No 41.

Whitehall Evening Post , Tuesday, July 3, 1787, reports "Yesterday was married , at St Dunstan's in the West, Mr John Immyns of Hatton-street, Holborn to Miss Ann Bickerton, eldest daughter of Mr Benjamin Bickerton , goldsmith in Jewin-street "
Soon after this happy event, tragedy, as on 18th September 1787 the Morning Chronicle and London Advertiser reports "Yesterday morning died Mrs Bickerton, wife of Benjamin Bickerton, Goldsmith, of Jewin Street"

His son, Thomas Worsley Bickerton tooks Thomas Moriah Otton apprentice in 1808. Otton subsequently married Maria Bickerton ,daughter of Thomas Worsley Bickerton in 1814.

21 February 1756 Benjamin Bickerton batchelor and silversmith of the Parish of Saint Mary Whitechappel in the County of Middlesex made an oath that he intended to marry Mary Worsley of the Parish of Saint Bridget otherwise Saint Brides London spinster.

22 February 1756 Benjamin Bickerton of the Parish of Saint Mary Whitechapel alleged his intention to marry Mary Worsley of the Parish of Saint .

4 April 1764 Benjamin Bickerton Goldsmith of London paid apprentice indenture duty for Arthur Miles Tonkin.

12 October 1771 Benjamin son of Benjamin Bickerton Silversmith and Mary birth recorded at Saint Giles Cripplegate London.

14 February 1772 Benjamin Bickerton widower and Goldsmith of the Parish of Saint Mary Whitechapel in the County of Middlesex made an oath to marry Jane Westray widow of the Parish of Saint Giles Cripplegate London.

17 February 1772 Benjamin Bickerton of the Parish of Saint Mary Whitechapel and Jane Westray of the Parish of Saint Brides were married.

24 November 1775 Benjamin Bickerton Goldsmith of London paid apprentice indenture duty for Thomas Raper.

6 August 1778 Benjamin Bickerton Goldsmith of London paid apprentice indenture duty for John Edwards.

31 August 1778 Benjamin Bickerton Goldsmith of London paid apprentice indenture duty for Charles Guillum.

19 July 1808 Benjamin Bickerton aged 74 years death recorded at Saint Giles Cripplegate London.

29 July 1808 Benjamin Bickerton of Jewin Street London Goldsmith will proved. This is an approximately four pages long will with a codicil.
