FULLER, Crispin (Grimwade p.516, 748)

Postby MCB » Mon Aug 05, 2013 4:46 am

He married Sarah Clark in 1781 at St Andrew, Holborn; they were both from that parish.
Christenings of their sons Richard in 1787, Peter in 1789 and their daughter Esther in 1792 were all registered at St Luke, Old Street. Two of the records show Crispin as a goldsmith.
His burial aged 69 years, late of St Olave’s, Hart Street, was registered on 19th October 1824 at St Luke's.
The Will of Crispin Fuller, goldsmith late of St Olave, was proved for probate on 24th January 1825 (National Archives reference PROB 11/1694/351).

25 August 1803 Crispin Fuller, Windsor Court, City of London, goldsmith paid apprentice indenture duty for James Shallis.
This occurred less than a month after James's indenture to Joseph Beckwith. There is not any turn over entries on Shallis's indenture contract, so at this point I do not have an explanation for an apprentice that is indentured to one master, but has the duty on him being paid by another. It is possible that Fuller and Beckwith may have been with the same firm but that's speculation, although not unlikely.

Married in the presence of Peter and Ann Bateman.

1812 Ann Bateman mentioned in her will that Sarah Clark who was the wife of Crispin Fuller was her niece.
