CRUMP, Francis (Grimwade p.481, 743)

Post by buckler »

Joan Crump was almost certainly the 3rd wife of Gabriel Sleath see http://www.925-1000.com/forum/viewtopic ... 74&t=44686
She probably married him around 1753 , when Francis Crump , an ex-apprentice of Gabriel Sleath, entered into partnership with him

9 March 1756
Will of Gabriel Sleath leaves virtually all to his wife Joan. One of the witnesses to the will is a Francis Crump
21 March 1756.
Burial of Gabriel Sleath

1 March 1764
Joan Sleath, of the Parish of Saint Vedast alias Foster London Widow will proved at London.
She left the majority of her estate to her nephew Francis Crump and made her brother David Crump and her nephew Francis the Executors.

The exact relationship between Joan and Francis Crump is not known as although she gives a Francis as her nephew, he could be the son of the Francis Crump who was Sleath's partner . The nephew may well be the ex-partners son . Or not !
