York Jeweler?

Hi,
I am looking for information on Henry Preston (a forbear) who I believe was a jewelry retailer in York in the mid 1800's. He seems to have been associated with Henry Steward also of York and possibly a Lord Mayor. A gift (a large engraved silver tray) was made in 1869 by Steward to Preston's daughter, Helena, my great grand mother.
Any information would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Michael Hallows
