Hi, I have 6 matching salt spoons with the hallmarks on the back. There is a monogram on the top and I can't read what it is but it also has a crown engraved on top. Any ideas about the crown? Admin edit
Thanks in advance,

I think the intertwined cursive initials read JSM. I cannot identify the coronet above them. It presumably identifies JSM's rank in the nobility but perhaps not the British nobility. The inscription is engraved the other way round from what is normal on British spoons which might perhaps suggest these spooons belonged to somebody in continental Europe.
