Safe Earl association?

Post by mk209 »

I've seen quite a few items that have had Earl associations put to them but the Earl's coronet is not present. I have 2 items which have the following crests, is is safe to assume these are 100% to whom I think they once belonged to?

Silver plated plate of the exact same style (plus same crest) and size of 6 Paul Storr 1829 silver ones that sold with provenance from the Earl of Balcarres, Lindsay family.

Silver table spoon of 1824 by William Chawner. Earl of Kingston, King family.

I would identify them exactly as you have. Nice collection. Kind regards.
