Provincial silver Sauce boat marks

Postby jok23 » Tue Apr 23, 2019 6:29 am

I found this silver sauce boat with unusual marks. They look like Scottish Provincial, but can't seem to find them. Its an oil lamp, struck twice and AG. Looks to be about 1770 in date or later. Any ideas?

Hi,

Possibly Adam Graham of Glasgow, see here to see if it compares:

The second of the examples perhaps reveal that it may be a tree, rather than a lamp.

Trev.
