Hi, Looking for a little expertise here... please

I purchased this recently at an estate auction in the US - I cannot find any reference to N pellet H in any makes mark around 1750 for London. The shape & size is right so I don't think it is a fake. The "tree" marks looks a bit like an Inverness mark and the britecut work to the back seems unusual. Also the maker's mark itself appears quite crude. Is it possible that this is a "colonial" mote spoon or, even more unlikely, really a Scottish provincial spoon made in Inverness!

The "tree" marks seems very unusual - it looks a bit like an Inverness mark and the britecut work to the back seems to indicate that the spoon was pierced by the maker as opposed to a specialist. Also the maker's mark itself appears quite crude, do you think that perhaps this is a fake?

The solder (red arrow) is suspicious. Examine the same place on the opposite side.

Hi - thank you for your response and comment. I have checked the other side and it appears completely free of any solder mark, but on the back side there certainly does seem to be a lump. I have tried the "breath" test to see if there is a solder mark that shows and there is nothing that I can see.
