Hi All, wondering if anybody could help identify the makers mark on this tea spoon . It appears to be RD , there are no other marks visible.
Any help would be much appreciated thanks.
Spoon maker ?
Re: Spoon maker ?
Hi,
With only one worn mark, I fear any attribution would only be speculative, but if presuming Scottish, two candidates may be Robert Dickson (I) of Perth, or perhaps less likely, Robert Donaldson of Dundee.

Re: Spoon maker ?
Hi Trev,
Thanks for the response. I've had a look at some examples of their marks in Richard Turners book, I think you are correct, Robert Dickson is most likely. the mark matches up closer than Robert Donaldson.
Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction, one less mystery to solve
